DISC personality styles

DISC personality styles were created by the psychologist William Marston in 1928. He identified four styles: ?

  • Dominance
  • Influence
  • Steadiness
  • Compliance

The psychologist Walter Vernon Clarke (1956 Activity Vector Analysis) and John Greier (DISC personality profile 1958) then created their versions of the DISC psychometric profiling tool which have been adapted by Inscape Publishing (1994 onwards) into the current DISC products. DISC requires a licence and there are slightly different versions on the market.
