Intuition is sometimes described as a sixth sense. It is a non-analytical response that is sometimes hard to put into words, but is often described as a gut feeling, hunch or a sense that something is right or not right.

Intuition is sometimes described as body wisdom, where the coach notices clues and information coming from all areas of physiology, energy and inner self.  Intuition comes from different places for different people and it can provide useful insights for the coach or the client.

Intuitive coaches ask more questions as they arise in the moment, rather than prepare them in advance. Being open to feeling and being in the moment will allow better access to intuition.

Here are some good questions for working with and developing intuition:
  • What are you sensing?
  • What are you wondering?
  • May I share what my instinct is telling me?
  • I am curious to know about...
